Dahir is a Programme Management and Research Specialist with over 12 years’ experience in organizational Development, non-profit Programming and Management, Research and Evaluation. He has vast experience in driving attainment of organizational and program-specific objectives through application of evidence-based decision making, theories, concepts and approaches to deliver diverse programs within the set timelines, budgets, and quality standards in vulnerable areas affected by conflicts, and socio-economic hardship. 

Professional experience includes serving as Programme and Research Manager with Network for peace Cohesion and Heritage Trust in Mandera, as Research Team Leader with NCIC | Interpeace Peace building Programme in the same county, as well as Programme Officer- Education Sponsorship with Direct Aid International in Nairobi among other roles. 

Adept at developing research methodologies and effective strategies for data collection, analysis and reporting; translating complex research information into accurate and understandable synthesis for a wide range of consumers; ensuring research projects adhere to good research practice (GRP); as well as managing high-level relationships with donors, researchers and partner organizations.

Dahir holds a MA in Peace and Conflict Studies from Coventry University- UK and BA in Armed Conflict and Sociology from the University of Nairobi.
